Charlie & The Chocolate Factory JR.
This term, we begin our eagerly anticipated Show Term — one of the highlights of the Stagecoach year!
Over the next two terms, our entire Main Stages cohort will come together to rehearse and perform our full-scale production of Charlie & The Chocolate Factory JR.
Along the way, students will develop their acting, singing, dancing and performance skills, alongside important skills such as teamwork, communication, confidence and resilience.
Students will take part in character workshops and audition preparation, giving them the opportunity to explore characters, understand the audition process and receive constructive feedback that they can take forward into future auditions.
They’ll also learn what it takes to put on a production as a team — from the rehearsal room to the stage — including how to work safely backstage, support fellow performers and take responsibility for their role within the company.
Performing at The Lamproom Theatre
The production will be performed at The Lamproom Theatre, Barnsley, giving our students the exciting opportunity to experience performing in a professional theatre and see their hard work brought to life on stage.
We are planning two performances in late February/early March 2027. Exact dates can be found on the SHOWTIME page
Please note: To give our students the opportunity to take on a larger-scale production and develop these additional skills, the show process has been extended across two terms. Please keep this in mind when planning your Stagecoach dates for the year.
We can’t wait to see our Main Stages students bring Charlie & The Chocolate Factory JR. to life!
