These sessions are a brilliant way to enhance your child’s current training and give them dedicated time to focus on their individual development.

One-to-one tuition can be incredibly beneficial for students. It allows us to tailor the lesson completely to your child, whether they want to:

• Build confidence

• Develop singing, acting, or dance technique

• Expand their repertoire

• Prepare for auditions

• Work towards drama school or professional opportunities

Having this dedicated 1–1 time means students can receive specialist coaching and focused guidance, helping them become more confident, prepared, and competitive in the performing arts industry.

Another fantastic benefit is that these one-to-one sessions will give you priority access to LAMDA training. When we begin our exam preparation period, your existing private tuition slot can transition into a LAMDA lesson slot. This means you won’t need to compete for limited LAMDA spaces, as your weekly lesson is already secured. The only additional cost would be the LAMDA exam fee itself.

Reschedule Policy

• 48 hours’ notice is required to cancel a lesson

• Cancellations must be made via the private WhatsApp chat with your teacher & Principal

• A maximum of two lessons per term can be rescheduled

• Additional missed lessons will still be charged

If a teacher is unable to deliver a lesson due to illness, your account will be credited for a future lesson.

At the end of the term, you will also be given first refusal on keeping the same time slot for the following term.

Spaces are limited and allocated on a first come, first served basis.

Thursday & Saturday private lessons will take place at NETHERWOOD ACADEMY, WOMBWELL, DOVE VALLEY WAY.

By booking a lesson slot, you are reserving that time for the full 12-week term. Booking a place commits you to the entire 12-week block, and the full fee is payable regardless of attendance. If a lesson is cancelled due to teacher illness, your account will be credited for a future lesson.Payment for the term may be made in two instalments. An payment reminder will be emialed for the first 6 weeks this will be issued before the start of term. An payment email for the second 6 weeks will be issued in the week before the half-term point. All lesson blocks must be paid before the lessons take place. Please note that choosing the split payment option does not allow cancellation at week 6. By booking, you are committing to the full 12-week term, and the full fees remain payable.

By signing up for lessons, you acknowledge and agree to these terms. At the end of the term, you will be offered first refusal to retain the same time slot for the following term.

Private lessons will now only take place during weeks when Stagecoach is running. This means that during half term breaks, there will be no private lessons. This has already been accounted for within your block booking.

Arrival & Collection
Upon arrival, students will be collected from the foyer by Tia.
Please ensure your child does not enter the building unless they are escorted by Tia. This is extremely important for fire safety, as we must always know who is in the building.

Parents may choose to leave their child in the foyer at their own discretion; however, we strongly encourage parents to wait until a teacher has collected them.

At the end of each session, please ensure you arrive promptly to collect your child, as Tia will be moving straight into her next lesson. We greatly appreciate your support in helping sessions run smoothly for all.

If you are running late and your child will need to wait in the foyer, please send a message in the WhatsApp group confirming that you are happy for them to wait unattended on that occasion.

Punctuality
Lessons run back-to-back, so if a student arrives late, unfortunately the missed time cannot be added on at the end, nor can refunds be given for time missed. We kindly ask that all students arrive promptly.

Communication – WhatsApp Group
We would like to create a WhatsApp group for parents of students attending private lessons with Tia. This group will be used for:

• Quick communication with Tia (e.g. if you are running late)

• Notifying absences

Please note that all absences must be reported via the WhatsApp group. Absences sent via email or text will not be accepted, to ensure nothing is missed.

During the first week, Tia will spend time getting to know each student’s current level through initial repertoire.

It would be very helpful if you could discuss with your child in advance what they would like to focus on. This might include:

• A specific style of dance

• Improving technique or lines

• Movement retention

• Drama or monologues

The more we can establish early on, the more productive future sessions will be. Tia has worked with many of the students previously, but it is always valuable to understand their personal goals.
